Construction of the main plant began in January, 1987, and production commenced little more than a year later. Primary sales are in the investment cast golf club market, with emphasis on the production of top quality metalwoods. Other products include hand tools and select high volume automotive components. The modern facility boasts the latest technological advances using streamlined product flow with robotics, computerization, conveyorization and automation, as well as Hitchiner's revolutionary countergravity casting process. The proximity of Hitchiner S.A. de C.V. to the United States ensures good transportation, communication and support from Hitchiner personnel for training and education. The division is QS-9000 certified and utilizes Statistical Process Control (SPC) throughout the operation to ensure quality parts and to continually improve control of the process. Hitchiner is an approved supplier to Taylor Made, Callaway, Cobra and other leaders in the golf industry. Our expertise in complete-to-print service includes the hand craftsmanship needed to paint and polish clubs to exceedingly high visible standards.
