Jet Engine Floatwall Panel

As many as 230 such panels line the combustor wall of many commercial and military jet engines. Cast in a special high-temperature nickel-based superalloy, each panel contains up to 1,000 individually shaped cooling pins. The cast-threaded posts are used to attach the panels to the combustor wall. Actual size of casting is aproximately 7 inches long by 2.25 inches wide. Back wall is .030 inches in thickness. Manufactured at Hitchiner's Gas Turbine Division in in Milford, NH.
